Thursday 28th March 2019 – Marlow Lecture: Wycombe Rye Roman Villa

Invitation from Archaeology in Marlow

Wycombe Rye Roman Villa

by Brian Withington

This talk is based on a Roman family saga: a couple of eventful days which follow the villa owner on a business/shopping trip to Verulamium (St Albans).

The talk will be illustrated by images of the Rye villa layout as well as a selection of pictures of the decor in similar villas and town houses in Verulamium.
