The objective of the Berkshire Roman Project 3 is to explain how society and power in the Berkshire Region changed in the period 50 BC to AD 410.
The project should appeal those who are interested in Roman Berkshire and the details of how the Roman Authorities, the British elite, and the urban, rural and manufacturing and trading communities lived and worked together in the Berkshire Region.
Project team members are currently working on detailed aspects of the Roman occupation, using data from the BAS gazetteer.
The study group usually meets 2:30-4:30 on the first Wednesday of the month, in person and via Zoom. See the events programme for details. Anyone interested in participating contact Andrew Hutt on andrew_hutt(at)talktalk.net
